80 grit wetsand with a hand block, to find all the little nicks, holes, and depressions. I've circled them all with a sharpie, and I'll toss some filler at them later today after my arms recover and the water fully evaporates.
I've been doing rig stuff a lot the last few days- glued the mast pieces together, cut in all the t-bail slots, finished making this part in the pic above for the adjuster for the gnav stays, then glued it on to the mast, as well as the spreader hinges.
Both ends of the spreaders are done, the outboard ends seen here. I'll just lash the stay into the grooves.
Sooo, in the next few days,
- I have rigging stuff coming (hopefully I haven't forgotten anything, there's no marine stores within 3 hours of me!)
- I'm going to apply the deck filler and sand it and recoat the deck with primer
- I need to build a rollover cradle
- I need to rig the mast
- I need to rig the forestay, topmast stay, jib adjustment lines and purchases
- I'll roll the boat outside and raise the mast!
